Turn back the boats

I have never understood why you are labelled ‘Far Right’ if you want sensible controlled net immigration into the UK. Why is it so wrong to have strong laws, securing our borders, thereby ensuring that no one with malicious intent, enters and causes harm? To have a fair and balanced policy, linking emigration to immigration to help control population numbers in the UK to sustainable numbers?

The primary duty of government was once to secure our borders. Furthermore, there was also an understanding of the need to regulate net legal immigration in context to the availability of public services.  The 10-year census was produced for good purpose.

However, for the last 20 years, under Labour and  Conservative governments, there has been a total laissez-faire attitude towards immigration control. The present Labour government intend to ignore the 2023 Immigration Act, which prevents anyone entering the UK illegally from claiming asylum.

On 24 July 2024, the new Labour government Home Office published regulations to amend provisions of the ‘Illegal’ Migration Act (IMA), which will allow asylum claims to be processed. These regulations will also enable people to be granted settlement and British citizenship. Illegal Migration Act 2023 Ignored

Anyone can now cross the channel and claim asylum. We are not allowed to call this illegal migration anymore.  It is known as irregular migration. Irregular Migration

We have even lost control over who is to be granted asylum.  Human Rights legislation underpins British Constitutional Law. Anyone claiming asylum from a country which pays no respect to the Human Rights Act, cannot be sent back to that country. Both Labour and Conservative governments will fully abide by any ruling from the European Court of Human Rights.

The Labour government has blocked the Rwanda initiative, a third safe country where these people could have been sent. Rwanda deportation

Millions from Afghanistan, Libya and Somalia can now cross the channel in small boats, claim and get asylum and thereafter be offered community / council housing which this government plan to build everywhere on the greenbelt.

‘We must all take our fair share of asylum seekers' Angela Rayner

The politicians serve the needs of the people? Or the people serve the ideological doctrine of the politicians?

It is imperative that we stop the tsunami of illegal small boat crossings over the channel.

The answer is simple.

Australia and others, require citizenship and asylum applications to be submitted from outside of that country’s borders. A form is filled in electronically with appropriate details.  The applicant then waits to be accepted / rejected, showing due diligence and respect, as expected from any future citizen of that country.

This could be done in France.

Labour say that it is illegal to turn back the boats.
