Issue 4: NHS (1)
The destruction of the NHS
The rapid population explosion in the UK, is putting unsurmountable pressure onto the NHS. This is being fuelled by mass immigration, both legal and illegal. Much is the blame of successive past Conservative governments. It is now being ameliorated and facilitated by the present Labour government.
The result is:
(1) Increased patient to medical staff ratio
(2) Longer waiting lists
(3) Doctors have less time to care for each of their patients
(4) A 'black hole of ever-increasing financial demand' from the public purse.
(5) Increased stress of care practitioners, causing doctors and nurses to leave the profession.
Direct quotations from the BMA:
‘GP practices across the country are experiencing significant and growing strain with declining GP numbers, rising demand, struggles to recruit and retain staff and knock-on effects for patients.
Fewer doctors are looking after greater numbers of patients
Whilst the GP workforce is declining, the number of patients is increasing. In April 2024, another record-high of 63.32 million patients were registered with GP practices in England.
As a result, the average number of patients each full-time equivalent GP is responsible for now stands at 2,294.’
‘This is an increase of 356 patients per GP, or 18%, since 2015, demonstrating the ever-mounting workload in general practice’.
Pressures in general practice (BMA)
What the BMA is calling for?
‘Prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. Given the immense strain on secondary care, the BMA is calling for immediate actions to be taken to prevent waiting lists from growing faster than they already are and to prevent increased pressure on hospitals.’
Most of the main political parties in this country want mass uncontrolled immigration into the UK.
In 1992, the UK population was 57.5 million approximately. In 2022 it was 10 million more at 67.5 million approximately.
‘UK population projected to hit 70 million in two years. By 2036, the population is set to grow to 73.7 million, including net international migration of 6.1 million.’
The Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats have no interest to impose a cap to immigration. Neither will they develop sensible measures to control the UK population, such as family planning education. Their prosaic response to the NHS crisis is merely to proclaim, with sanctimonious glee, that more public money will be thrown at the problem.
Ironically, they then advocate their support for an open borders policy. The direct cause of the increasing patient: medical practice ratio.
Meanwhile, the people do not get the medical attention they need.
And more are dying needlessly.
Their hypocrisy is jaw-dropping.
